Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what steps his Department is taking to lower the number of children at risk of starting the school day too hungry to learn.

I refer The hon. Member for North Durham to the answer I gave on 4 June 2019 to Question 259855.

Decisions regarding funding beyond March 2020 will be taken as part of the upcoming Spending Review.
