Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to record national figures on patient discharge from community mental health services.
This question was answered on 20th May 2019
National figures on patients discharged from community mental health services in England are recorded and can be extracted from data collected by NHS Digital as part of the Mental Health Services Dataset (MHSDS).
This breakdown of the data is not published by NHS Digital and there are no current plans to do so.
To note, the MHSDS data collection is still experimental and should be interpreted with caution.
