We remain committed to granting protection to all claimants who are found to be at risk of persecution or serious harm in their country of origin because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The Home Office guidance for caseworkers on processing asylum claims on the basis of sexual orientation will be reviewed later this year, following the publication of guidance for caseworkers on asylum claims based on gender identity and expression, which is scheduled for publication by summer 2019.
