Care Leavers: Unemployment

Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what estimate he has made of the number of care leavers aged 16-24 that are not in education, employment or training.

Information on care leavers aged 16 or aged 22 and over is not held centrally. Of the care leavers aged 17 to 21 in the year ending 31 March 2018, 14,370 were not in education, employment or training.
