Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what recent representations she has received on projected budget deficits in academies.

We expect academy trusts to manage their finances appropriately and in accordance with their funding agreement. The Department for Education and Education Funding Agency have considered a range of representations, including from academy trusts, on projected budget deficits in academies. Where appropriate, support will be provided.
