To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what forecast his Department has made of the likely cost per patient of receiving proton beam therapy treatment at one of the two planned centres for such therapy.

At full capacity, the estimated cost per patient receiving proton beam therapy in the United Kingdom is expected to be approximately £35,000.
