Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what proportion of applications for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding has been successful in each year in which that funding has been available.

The Department does not collect data on the proportion of NHS Continuing Healthcare (NHS CHC) assessments where individuals have been found to be eligible.

Until 31 March 2013, quarterly data on the number of people in receipt of NHS CHC funding was collected and published on the Department’s website at:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/nhs-continuing-healthcare

Since 1 April 2013, responsibility for the collection of data for NHS CHC has been transferred to NHS England. Data on the number of people who are eligible for NHS CHC is published quarterly by the Health and Social Care Information Centre at:
