The cost of providing WiFi in public libraries varies depending on a range of factors including the installation of WiFi only, the number of libraries that require access and the type of equipment needed, as well as the possibility of other organisations contributing resources. We are currently investigating all funding options. We are providing free WiFi in over 1000 public buildings in cities across the UK, including certain libraries as part of the £150m Super Connected Cities
