To ask the Deputy Prime Minister, whether he, his advisers or anyone in his Office was (a) copied into any submission on and (b) involved in any discussions on the franchising process of Hinchingbrooke Hospital between May 2010 and December 2011.

This process was the responsibility of the Department of Health.

I was not copied into any such submissions during this period. Records of meetings attended by officials and advisers are not routinely held.
