Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what estimate she has made of the cost to local authorities of implementing Part 3 of the Children and Families Act 2014.

The additional costs to local authorities in England of implementing Part 3 of the Children and Families Act 2014 are estimated at £45.2 million in 2014-15 and £31.7 million in 2015-16.

£45.2 million has been allocated to local authorities in 2014-15 and the Government intends to allocate a further £31.7 million for 2015-16.
