Question to the Department for International Development:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what representations she has made to the Indian government on the death and injury of workers in building collapses in India.

FCO make representations to the Indian Government on various issues. DFID has limited involvement in the construction sector in India. Through our Affordable Housing Programme, operating in three states, we ensure high quality construction and adherence to safety standards in every housing project.
