We are awaiting the final report on field trial design proposals for vaccine and diagnostic tests to be undertaken in Great Britain. The design will need to satisfy the demands of the European Commission. Former Commissioner Borg made it clear in his January 2013 letter that field trials would need to be large scale and long lasting.
