The most recent Arrest Warrant issued by the UK to Ireland for terrorism-related offences was on 29 August 2013, with the subject surrendered in February 2014.

There are currently two outstanding Arrest Warrants for terrorism-related offences that were issued by the UK to Ireland.

The Government of Ireland made clear in a letter dated 4 September 2014 from the Irish Justice Minister to the Home Secretary that should the UK fail to opt in to the package of 35 criminal justice measures on 1 December 2014, there is no guarantee that the Irish courts would preserve the validity of outstanding Arrest Warrants.
