Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 4 September 2014 to Question 207388, if she will make it her policy to collect information on waiting times for students referred to educational psychologists.

The Department for Education recognises the importance of educational psychology services in helping to identify and secure high quality support for children and young people with special educational needs. The Department has specified a timescale of 20 weeks for completion of assessments for Education, Health and Care plans under the arrangements introduced through the Children and Families Act 2014.

Data on meeting these timescales will be collected and published.
