Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what her policy is on extending ring-fencing of the five to 16 years schools budget to include funding for young people aged 16 to 18.

The protection given to the 5-16 schools budget up to the end of financial year 2015-16 does not extend to the 16-18 education budget. Decisions about levels of education funding beyond financial year 2015-16 are for the next Government.
