Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the answer of 8 July 2026, to Question 14610, on Erasmus+ Programme: Per capita costs, what assessment has been made of the reasons for the higher per student cost of the Erasmus+ programme compared to Turing.
The Erasmus+ programme is much broader than the Turing Scheme and includes mobility opportunities for more sectors, including adult education, youth and sport, as well as funding staff mobility across the sectors, supporting professional development. It also funds a wide range of partnership and policy development opportunities. The increased funding available through Erasmus+ will enable many more participants to benefit from the programme.
