Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many police working dogs have been successfully re-homed in the last five years.

The Home Office does not collect this information centrally. All operational decisions on the use and deployment of police dogs, including decisions regarding the rehoming of police dogs, are made on a force by force basis and are a matter for chief constables, working with their Police and Crime Commissioners.
