To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, how many and what proportion of (a) water, (b) electricity and (c) gas utility companies operating in each region and constituent part of the UK are owned or part-owned by firms registered outside the UK.

DECC does not cover the water sector. Information relating to the ownership of UK electricity and gas companies is available on the relevant company websites.
