Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 3 July 2014, Official Report, columns 757-8W, on children: daycare, which local authorities use external contractors to assist with the delivery of childcare services other than fostering and adoption.

As of 14 July 2014, the following organisations were listed in Ofsted's register of social work providers as discharging functions for looked after children and care leavers:

  1. Evolve YP, acting for Staffordshire County Council.

  2. Redbridge Leaving Care, acting for the London Borough of Redbridge.

  3. Mancroft Advice Project, acting for Norfolk County Council.

  4. Catch 22, acting for Kent County Council.

  5. Vista Social Work Practice Ltd, acting for Bristol County Council.
