Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, with reference to his Department's publication, The NHS as an Innovative Organisation: A Framework and Guidance on the Management of Intellectual Property in the NHS, published in 2002, which of the conclusions of that report have been adopted; and what assessment he has made of the effect on the NHS of their adoption.

The Department has made no recent assessment of the effect of this framework and guidance on the management of intellectual property in the National Health Service.
