Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps he intends to take to ensure that women are made aware of the abortifacient nature of the drug ulipristal acetate; and if he will make a statement.

Ulipristal Acetate, known as EllaOne, is an emergency contraceptive not an abortifacient. The information provided in each pack of EllaOne clearly states that it should not be taken by a woman who knows or suspects she is pregnant.
