Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to the Answer of 17 June 2014, Official Report, column 566W, on NHS: innovation, what outputs and outcomes he uses to judge NHS England's compliance with its legal duty to promote innovation.

The National Health Service's obligation to promote innovation is principally delivered through NHS England's innovation, health and wealth programme. NHS Englandreports progress on this programme to the Cabinet Office Implementation Unit, the innovation, health and wealth implementation board and the Department as part of its business plan.
