Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent assessment he has made of the effect of the introduction of minimum unit pricing for alcohol in Scotland on (a) the level of consumption of alcohol and (b) public health.

No assessment has been made of the effect of the introduction of minimum unit pricing of alcohol in Scotland. The introduction of minimum unit pricing in England remains under review.
