Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what assessment has (a) the Department and (b) Homes England made of the number of homes being provided by the Build to Rent sector since July 2024..

My Department has made no such specific assessment.

However, industry data indicates that 35,548 Build to Rent units were completed in England between the start of July 2024 and the end of June 2026 – an increase of 31% in the total number of Build to Rent units across the country.
