The Immigration Rules on eligibility for status under the EU Settlement Scheme reflect the provision made by the Free Movement Directive for victims of domestic abuse to retain the right of residence in the UK in particular circumstances. This is in line with the draft Withdrawal

Agreement with the European Union. We are also putting in place a range of measures to ensure that the scheme is accessible to potentially vulnerable individuals. We are working closely with a user group of external stakeholders who represent the needs of such individuals, including victims of domestic abuse, to ensure that the right support arrangements are put in place.
