Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, with reference to her Department's document entitled The Rycroft Review: HM Government response, published on 6 July 2026, whether the all donor declaration requirements will apply to donations to (a) hon. Members and (b) Peers; which public body will be responsible for compliance to declaration requirements in relation to regulated donees who (a) are hon. Members and (b) not hon. Members; and whether the House of Commons Registrar and Parliamentary Standards Commissioner will have any role in the new regime.

We announced in response to the Rycroft Review that we would introduce a donor declaration requirement for relevant donations in order to support the effective implementation of the Review's recommendations. The Government will bring forward further details in due course.
