Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many (a) special guardians, and (b) prospective special guardians have received financial support from local authorities under regulation 6 of the Special Guardianship Regulations 2005 in each of the last five years.

The department does not hold figures on the amount of financial support provided by local authorities to special guardians, nor does it collect data on the number of special guardians and prospective special guardians who have received financial support.
