Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will publish a list of (a) successful and (b) unsuccessful bids for the New Hospitals Programme.

We received 128 expressions of interest (EOIs) for the next eight hospitals to join the New Hospital Programme (NHP) from 100 trusts. A table showing all EOIs is attached.

The Government confirmed on 25 May that five of these schemes will join the NHP. These hospitals all have significant amounts of Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete and have been independently assessed as unsafe to operate beyond 2030 and were therefore prioritised in the selection process.
