Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what recent estimate his Department has made of the number of providers offering leasehold building insurance to local authorities in London.

The department has begun to engage with local authorities (LAs) in London and beyond, and the Local Government Association (LGA) to assess the challenges they may be facing when accessing the buildings insurance market.
