Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what the average cost is of raising a second export meter point administration number in domestic homes for the purposes of metered export; and on which parties such costs fall.

Distribution Network Operators have confirmed that they provide meter point administration numbers free of charge to domestic homes in these circumstances. They have also confirmed that they recover the costs of doing so through network charges that are passed on by suppliers to end consumers.
