Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, whether his Department has a target for building new social housing.

As set out previously, the Government recognises the value of investing in Social Rent homes which is why we made a commitment in our Levelling-up white paper to deliver more of them.
Our Affordable Homes Programme is responding to that commitment and will deliver tens of thousands of Social Rent homes, as will our Local Authority Housing Fund.
Since 2010 we have delivered over 162,800 homes for social rent.
