Question to the Department for Business and Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, if she will make an assessment of the implications for her policies of the recommendations on addressing health challenges for night shift workers made by the former Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee in its report entitled Post-pandemic economic growth: UK labour markets, HC 306, published on 21 April 2023.

The Government welcomes the research undertaken by the former Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee in their recent report on the UK labour market.

The Government response to the report’s recommendations will follow in the usual manner in due course.
