Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what recent steps her Department has taken to provide relationship and sex education to school children that is (a) high quality and (b) LGBT-inclusive.

In September 2020, the Government made relationships education compulsory for primary school pupils, relationships and sex education compulsory for secondary school pupils, and health education compulsory for pupils in all state funded schools.

On 8 March 2023, my right hon. Friend, the Prime Minister, announced the review of the guidance. The Department announced further details regarding the review on 31 March 2023.
