There are plans to develop the stroke inpatient rehabilitation service within Bridlington Hospital later this year serving patients from the Bridlington and Scarborough requiring continuing care following their discharge from the hyper acute stroke units in York and Hull. Virtual outpatient and multi-disciplinary consultations in some areas of specialist care are also being progressed to limit the amount of unnecessary travel for patients and clinicians.
