Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what estimate he has made of the cost to his Department of leaving the EU in accordance with (a) the proposals set out in the Government’s White Paper and (b) a no-deal scenario.

The Department spent £70 million during the financial year 2017-18 as per our accounts. For the financial year 2018-19, the department has received an allocation of £395 million from HM Treasury to continue preparing for the UK to leave the EU. This funding will also cover any no-deal scenario.
