Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what recent discussions his Department has had with the Rail Delivery Group on that organisation’s air quality impact study.

Government has asked the industry to set up a taskforce that will look at how to decarbonise the rail industry and improve air quality through reducing harmful emissions produced by the rail industry. The taskforce will report back before the end of the year.
