Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what discussions he has had with the Chancellor of the Exchequer on using the funding outlined in the Road Investment Strategy announced as part of Budget 2021 to fund upgrades to Gallows Corner in Romford.

The Gallows Corner junction on the A1 in Romford is on Transport for London’s road network. A scheme to improve the junction is in the Department’s Major Road Network programme. My officials are working with TfL and expect to receive an Outline Business Case next year.
