Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, which ministers visited the Republic of Rwanda in each of the last five years.
In 2017, Rory Stewart visited Rwanda in his capacity as Minister for Africa. Harriet Baldwin, then Minister for Africa, visited in 2019. Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister for the Commonwealth, visited Rwanda in 2021 and Home Secretary Priti Patel visited in 2022. The UK is looking forward to the Commonwealth Head of Government Meetings in June.
