Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent assessment his Department has made of the effect on health outcomes of the British Heart Foundation's 30 minutes of exercise per day campaign.
The Department has not made an assessment of the impact of the British Heart Foundation exercise campaigns. The United Kingdom Chief Medical Officers’ guidelines recommend that physical activity of at least 150 minutes per week or 30 minutes per day for adults is beneficial for good health.
