To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment he has made of the adequacy of the capacity of waste processing facilities.

The Government’s current view on the adequacy of capacity of waste processing facilities at a national level is set out in the Resources and Waste Strategy (RWS) in section 3.2.2. Waste planning authorities are responsible for considering capacity needs at a local level and planning accordingly.
