Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many people have received compensation from his Department as a result of their unlawful detention in an Immigration Removal Centre in each of the last five years.

The Home Office is unable to provide the information requested. The Home Office would have to manually check all compensation payments for the years requested. This would therefore exceed the disproportionate cost threshold.
