Question to the Northern Ireland Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, what estimate his Department has made of the number of households that on heating oil for central heating in Northern Ireland.

According to the Consumer Council, 68 per cent of homes in Northern Ireland use heating oil as their primary source of heating. Policy on domestic energy is devolved in Northern Ireland.
