Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment his Department has made of trends in the level of the availability of appointments for abortions in NHS hospital settings for women with complex medical conditions.

The Department is aware of concerns over the availability of appointments for women with complex conditions seeking an abortion and is working with NHS England and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to ensure that such women receive timely access to high quality abortion care.
