Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether her Department has produced an impact assessment of the decision on the new contract to produce UK passports.

A comprehensive assessment was carried out to inform the decision to award the contract to produce UK passports, as part of the procurement process, and this included analysis within a number of areas. The information captured within these assessments is commercially sensitive and the Home Office has no plans to publish this information on that basis.
