Private Rented Housing: Greater London

Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, which local authorities in London have (a) applied for his consent to introduce selective licensing schemes for private rented properties, (b) such applications pending and (c) had such applications rejected since 2015.

The Department has received applications from the London Boroughs of Brent, Newham, and Redbridge. The current application from the London Borough of Redbridge is pending. Redbridge had an application rejected in December 2015
