Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether her Department plans to publish a knife crime strategy in response to recent fatalities in London.

The Home Secretary will be publishing a new Serious Violence Strategy this Spring. The Strategy will emphasise the need to support early intervention as part of a multiple strand approach involving law enforcement and communities. The strategy will set out a range of initiatives to respond to serious violence including key actions on knife crime.
