Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether UK passports will be printed and manufactured in the UK after the UK leaves the EU.

We are currently tendering for a replacement contract for manufacture and personalisation of the UK passport and cannot comment on an ongoing procurement process.

However, a minimum requirement of the procurement is that the supplier of the next contract will continue to personalise all passports in the UK meaning that no personal data leaves the UK.
