Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, with reference to the Answer of 8 November 2016 to Question 51429, if he will assess the accuracy of the advice he received from NHS England that NHS trusts that have incurred costs invoiced Coperforma directly; and if he will make a statement.

The provision of patient transport services is a matter for local National Health Service commissioners. We are advised by NHS England that the response to Question 51429 was accurate. Until 5 December 2016, Coperforma advised NHS trusts that such invoices should be sent directly to it for processing.
