Plastics: Waste

Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment he has made of whether the ban on imports of plastic waste by the Chinese Government from January 2018 will lead to (a) the stockpiling of plastic waste, (b) an increase in incineration of plastic waste, (c) an increase in landfill comprising of plastic waste and (d) environmental pollution in the UK; and if he will make a statement.
