Integrated care boards (ICBs) are required to commission appropriate palliative and end of life care services to meet the reasonable needs of their population. In line with NHS England statutory guidance and the Ambitions Framework, ICBs should commission services, which develop individualised plans of care that include explicit consideration of the provision of psychological and spiritual support.
